TotalView ST version 1.5
========================
- Alpha Version -
WARNING: This is a sketch of new features available in TotalView
ST. I may have intentionally and unintentionally not mentioned
features already incorporated. Also, THIS MAY BE THE LAST RELEASE OF
TOTALVIEW ST RELEASED BY ME. IF YOU NEED TOTALVIEW ST, PLEASE SEND
ME E-MAIL at:
limsico@earthquake.berkeley.edu
or C-sys at ST Synchronicity (415)526-6471
or C-sys at ABACUS BBS (415)587-8062
SO, SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE! Criticism, especially
negative ones, are welcome! Also, send in bug reports!
I'm sorry if this READ.ME is inadequate, but I want some feedback!
Changes in version 1.5:
> First of all, TotalView ST 1.5 and all previous versions are now
shareware.
> Installable programs. Allows users to run programs to display or
whatever, using a selected file as a parameter. This feature also
allows extraction of compressed files.
> Hexadecimal display. Press '$' to toggle between HEX and ASCII
display.
> Mark areas. Press '[' to indicate start of area and ']' to
indicate end of area.
> Save to disk/print to printer/modem. All commands rolled up in
one. Started by pressing 'P'.
> Repeat last command. Press '!'
> Relative movement. Press '+' and a number to move down specified
number of lines. Pressing '-' does the opposite.
> Saveable search strings. The last search string can be stored in
the top row of number keys (0-9) by holding down SHIFT,CONTROL and a
number. To search for the string, press CONTROL and the number.
> Function keys are set to percentages from 10%-100%, by byte.
> Justification toggle. Right justification can be turned off by
pressing 'j'.
If everything works out fine, I will work on version 2, which will
use a completely different printing method and a whole bunch of new
surprises!
Enjoy!
